It’s the last day of spring and summer solstice! I thought I would post a photo tour of spring highlights from the garden.

I’m asked quite often where I get my plants. I thought I would post some of my favourite go to places. Since I live in Oakville most are in Toronto and the surrounding areas.

I thought I would write about how I take care of my Prayer plants which includes my Calathea, Stromanthe, Ctenanthe and Maranta.

Being stuck in lock down has got me thinking about the places I really want to go to again. Eden Project is on top of that list.

I knew I wanted to set up a terrarium for them but didn’t know which to get or what to use…

You don’t have to be a professional designer to appreciate visual balance and beauty.

With space running out I thought I would try under planting my Fiddle Leaf Fig with all the trailing Philodendrons and Pothos (Epipremnum) I have in my collection.

The Hoya carnosa ‘Jade’ is the first Hoya I’ve owned. Even though it’s one of the most common hoyas it’s still one of my favourites.

One of my very first houseplants — for me it’s the one that started my plant obsession. It’s not a demanding plant — not for me at least.

Some may say it’s too many plants but why does it matter. Taking care of them and watching them thrive makes me happy.
